Jana Bommersback has always been on a quest for the truth.
Starting in the school library in her North Dakota small town, she discovered what so many other writers discover: I want to write stories too.
I was introduced to Jana's book deadgirlinavacantlot by Natalie at Spotlight publishing while writing Anger into Action, delving into our language and our complicity when it comes to the Sex Trade Industry.
When I began to learn more about Jana, I knew I needed to talk with her and the books she writes: Stories that tell the truth of events that wronged mostly women, like the story of Cattle Kate who was murdered for her land and labeled the way women usually were in the west, a horrible woman and a filthy w***e, when someone wanted them dead.
I'm looking forward to talking with Jana again and playing a round of golf soon. I noticed her clubs during our recording and she lives close by! It will be fun to go play a round of golf with this seeker of the truth.
